Suppression of the truth

MTW's efforts to destroy the lives and ministries of those who tell the truth

In the last section we asked the question, “How could you possibly you get an entire presbytery to go along with the suppression of the rape of an underage church member by an adult church leader?”

Don’t forget that this wasn’t the first time that MTW missionary Kenton Wood (a man falsely presenting himself as an ordained minister with MTW’s approval) put an immoral man in a position of authority over potentially vulnerable people.

When Kenton put a known, unrepentant, excommunicated serial-adulterer in the pulpit of his church (Paul Fisher), I calmly met with Kenton on two different occasions in his office to ask that he stop this scandalous situation. When Kenton ignored this, my elder board petitioned for a meeting with his elder board which was denied. I then took the matter to the local presbytery.

This was all done in order according to the biblical and denominational rules.

The presbytery, made up of a majority of MTW-planted churches, simply took a vote to suppress my letter. This attempt at suppression failed by one vote. However, after the failed vote, the president of the presbytery (a man named Roberto Arjona from Kenton’s Rey de Reyes system of churches that were planted through MTW) simply walked over to talk to another young pastor named Armando Cuevas who also works for Kenton’s Rey de Reyes system of churches. Armando suddenly “changed his mind”, the vote was retaken, and my letter was suppressed (just like what happened later with the rape-victim’s letter).

Seeing this corruption, I stood up and insisted that the presbytery take a vote on this scandalous situation. When they refused, I protested. At the very next meeting I was put under investigation by the presbytery. The investigative committee was made entirely of men from MTW missionary Kenton’s Rey de Reyes system of churches including both Roberto Arjona and Armando Cuevas who had helped manipulate the earlier vote.

This committee did not investigate a single piece of evidence that I offered or speak to a single witness that I put forward. The committee lied and told me that they were not going to recommend any charges against me only to do the exact opposite a week later in the presbytery meeting. Antonio Barrera, pastor of the MTW church specifically planted by MTW director Steve Robertson, proposed that I be thrown out of the entire denomination without even being able to speak in my own defense.

This proposal, made by the pastor of an MTW-planted church, supported by a committee of pastors of MTW-planted churches who didn’t review any witnesses or evidence from my side, had me thrown out of my church and ministry for having dared to question MTW missionary Kenton Wood for putting MTW serial-adulterer Paul Fisher in his pulpit.

But that wasn’t enough for MTW. MTW director Steve Robertson then personally contacted our family’s supporting PCA church back in Texas (New Saint Peter’s) to try to pressure them into withdrawing their support of our family (as Steve had earlier threatened to do when I was investigating his friend who was embezzling MTW missions donations). This very nearly worked except for the integrity of New Saint Peter’s leadership.

For having spoken up about both immoral and criminal behavior by MTW missionaries, their employees, and family members, I was fired, permanently expelled from an entire denomination, and had my family’s financial support personally attacked by Steve Robertson (MTW’s director over all of North and South America).

Now…

With all of this in mind, which of the other local pastors was going to speak up when they had just seen exactly what happens when someone speaks out against MTW's evil actions?

Nobody.

Not even when the evil included the rape of a minor in MTW missionary Kenton Wood's home by an adult member of his family.

One might think that while MTW can control a presbytery in Mexico, certainly they wouldn’t dare try to cover that rape of a minor on the U.S. side of things. However, what every PCA member who loves and is faithful to Christ and His Kingdom needs to know, the rot runs far deeper than just Kenton Wood and Steve Robertson. Both the Nashville Presbytery and the PCA’s DASA committee are aware of the situation and yet are participating in the cover-up.

We will speak more about that in the next section.
